Description
Occaisonally, just to stretch my design legs I like to browse 99designs for some different ideas and briefs for projects that I can tinker about with and I came across one for Aggro Running.
What pegged my interest in this brief was the fact the interested party wanted the logo to try and avoid the use of any visuals regarding "running" for their company which I thought was pretty cool as it promoted a little creative freedom.
For my logo I decided to go with along with the theme of "aggro" (aggressive, grr! etc) and continued with an animal inspired theme, focusing on a cheetah/panther artwork to go along with the logo text.
WORKFLOW:
After working out some initial sketches, retweaking, a few breaks and cups of tea, I decided on an idea that I liked and scanned in to Adobe Illustrator.
In Illustrator, I performed my usual routine of completely relining off the original sketch and then play around with a few ideas, adding and subtracting from areas I believed worked and those that I felt didnt work so well.
Also, I believe that when you decide to use Adobe Illustrator for your work, you shouldnt be afraid to experiment, thats how you learn new things and I feel I learnt alot from this little side project as the entire logo was create solely in Adobe Illustrator (new personal best for me!!)
Time Taken:- 16 hours from initial concept sketch to final upload
